• DH88 Comet Restoration
This has to be one of the most ambitious group projects around. A group of volunteers headed by Martin Jones and his team at the Derby Aero Club are restoring the Comet 'Black Magic' flown by Amy Johnson in the 1934 Mildenhall to Melbourne Air race. • Isaacs Fury
Ian Harrison's classic replica of a Hawker Nimrod based upon John Isaacs' Fury design design is approaching completion. Hopefully it will be making it's maiden flight soon.
• Flitzer Z21
Becoming a popular choice of wood and fabric aircraft, a number of examples of the Flitzer are now being built in the UK. Colin Cheese is at the early stages of construction and anothermember is said to be interested in one of the derivative models when has all the jobs on the house done!! View Flitzer web site
• Dyn Aero MCR-01 G-KARK
Rod Bailes-Brown built G-KARK in 1800 hours over a period of 3 years 3 months. It now has 70 hours on the airframe. Performance is 138 kn on 15lph of mogas and 1700fpm. More.....
• Taylorcraft BC12-65 G-BPHP
Our Strut Co-Ordinator Stewart Jackson's Taylorcraft rebuild has been on hold for a couple of years due to health issues, but has now been re-started and with a bit of help from various 'volunteers' he hopes it will be flying again this year. More.....
